Ah Yes, Alabama QB Was Speaking in Tongues (No Not in the Huddle, Stupid)

Well, God bless him. Tua Tagovailoa had the spunk to praise God publicly. As far as “speaking in tongues;” that’s not a good idea on the football field. I mean nobody does that anymore, never mind a quarterback. Talk about confusing signals. I heard report that a Georgia defender was called upon to interpret, but the distraction cost his team ten yards from a quick flick to an alert, free receiver waving his arms.

Charisma News, Sean A Akers: Minutes after throwing the game-winning touchdown pass in Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship game in Atlanta, Alabama Tua Tagovailoa wasn’t hesitant to give God the credit.

“I was praying,” Tagovailoa says. “I was speaking in tongues. It kept me calm.” More here.
