An Open Letter to our New American President

Dear Mr. President:

When this is published in our little periodical, the Mancipia, you will be about to be sworn in as President of the United States. This will not be a very long letter, certainly not as long as the nine-page harangue the North Korean president recently sent to the U.S. government and, by extension, to you and your administration.

I congratulate you on your hard-fought election. Further, I commend you on many of the positions you have expressed throughout the campaign, and into your transition period. Your attitudes about appointing pro-life justices to the Supreme Court, protecting the citizens by strengthening the borders of our country, reducing taxes, supporting our military and police in an effort to restore law and order — are encouraging. Your manner of speaking about the size of government echoes a Catholic principle called subsidiarity. That principle tells us to leave to local government what can be done by local government; to leave at the city level what can be done at that level, to permit the state to handle things better handled at that level and to use regional structures to perform duties that are best handled at that level.

It is clear to all that you love your country and are grateful for the sacrifices men in uniform have made, even with their lives, to keep our nation free.

Your popular campaign motto, to “Make America Great Again” commits you to maintaining loyalty to the Constitution, both personally and, certainly, in your coming appointments to executive offices and to the judiciary. You have the chance to help make America great in the higher sense of defending what is morally just, at home and abroad, and supporting the law of God above all else, as we have it given to us in the Ten Commandments. I believe that the best way that you can achieve good things for America is by doing what is good for yourself. To aid you in your office, you would benefit immensely by becoming a Catholic and nourishing your soul and body with the sacraments God has given His Church through Jesus Christ. Doing this, you will be walking personally on the path of salvation and, by your good example, helping many others to do the same.

By way of introduction, I am the Prefect of the Third Order of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We are a Catholic religious order that has its own rally cry. Yours is to “Make America Great Again,” ours is to “Make America Catholic.” We have the common goal of making the country better. Our two-fold crusade is to convert America to the one true Faith, outside of which there is no salvation, and to defend all the dogmas of the Faith.

Another new President who won in the 2016 elections, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski of Peru, on October 27, 2016, consecrated his country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The purposes of the consecration included, in his own words to, “make an act of consecration of myself, my family and the Republic of Peru, to the love and protection of Almighty God through the intercession of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” What better protection could a President ask for his people? As a Catholic, you, Mr. Trump, could imitate his example.

That event in Lima was attended by high-ranking business and political leaders of Peru, including the President of the Congress, Luz Salgado, who also requested the protection of God in his speech, “I put in your loving hands my government with all its workers and citizens who are under my responsibility . . . [asking God] . . . to protect our country with a special protection.”

I do not know if President Kuczynski was among the heads of state who have called to congratulate you. If not, when you eventually do speak with him, here is a fact that ties him to our country: Kuczynski went into exile to the United States in 1969 due to political persecution at home. I do not know where he resided in our country, but his father also suffered a similar but far worse exile. Kuczynski’s father was a German Jewish immigrant, a physician, who fled Germany in 1933 to escape Nazism.

It will not be easy to make the conversion I am suggesting; but, Mr. Trump, you are no stranger in confronting challenges. This is your challenge of faith. God’s grace will fortify you in accepting it. You have built up a real estate/business empire. You have become a man of means. But all that material wealth will be of naught in the final reckoning. “For what doth it profit a man,” Jesus said, “if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16, verse 26)

We are made in the image and likeness of God. This likeness to God is chiefly in the soul, which is a spirit and will live forever. The two spiritual powers of the soul are intellect (understanding) and free will. The soul is therefore more valuable than the body which will someday die. The purpose or end of man is simple, we learned it as children: God created me that I might know Him, love Him, and serve Him in this world, and then be happy with Him forever in heaven.

Finally, there is what may be an uncanny arrangement of events taking place in the very year you will take your place as the 45th President of the country. In 1917, one hundred years ago, the greatest and most largely viewed modern miracle took place near a town called Fatima in Portugal. This was an event that was impossible to pass off as anything but miraculous. In fact, the Portuguese newspapers of the time, many anti-Catholic, wrote that at least 70,000 people witnessed what has come to be called, The Miracle of the Sun.

The Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, appeared six times to three shepherd children near the town of Fatima, Portugal between May 13 and October 13, 1917. Coming at a time when Christendom and practically the whole world was torn asunder by war and bloody violence, She promised that Heaven would grant peace to all the world if Her requests for prayer, reparation, and consecration were heard and obeyed.

“If My requests are granted … there will be peace”

Our Lady of Fatima explained to the children that war is a punishment for sin and warned that God would further chastise the world for its disobedience to His will by means of war, hunger and the persecution of the Church, the Holy Father and the Catholic faithful. God’s Mother prophesied that Russia would be God’s chosen “instrument of chastisement,” spreading the “errors” of atheism, materialism, statism, and anti-christian social order across the earth, fomenting wars, annihilating nations, and persecuting the faithful everywhere.

“If My requests are not granted, Russia will spread its errors throughout the world, raising up wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will suffer much and various nations will be annihilated.”

To prevent this terrible chastisement at the hands of Russia and to convert “that poor nation,” Our Lady requested the solemn public Consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart by the Pope and all the Catholic bishops of the world.

The heart of Our Lady’s Message to the world is contained in what has come to be called the “Secret” which She confided to the three child seers in July 1917. The Secret actually consists of three parts, the first two of which have been publicly revealed. The last part of the Secret (often called the Third Secret) has not yet been made public in its totality.

You, Mr. President, will be in office during the 100th anniversary year of the Fatima apparitions.

I am praying for you, daily.
In the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Brother John Marie Vianney, M.I.C.M., Tert., Prefect

Wow Brother. Thank you for doing this for us.

May God Bless, You Soldier of Christ!

  • As a Catholic, you, Mr. Trump, could imitate his example. Do you mean Trump is a Catholic? He is not. He is Presbyterian – cf. http://wp.me/p2Na5H-Qa

Russia already consecrated [cf. http://disq.us/p/19ddbdm%5D and what people refer to as “the Age of Mary” has just ended. We are in the Revelation, the time of the two beasts cf. Obviously consecrating a nation to the Sacred Hearts, and especially to the Immaculate Heart of Mary would be a very good thing for an individual or a Nation to do as it appears that those who will be saved will be saved via the New Ark of the Covenant.

  • As the letter says to the President Elect, “…you would benefit immensely by becoming a Catholic and nourishing your soul and body with the sacraments God has given His Church through Jesus Christ.” It’s an invitation for him to become a Catholic. The author is well aware of Trump’s Protestantism.

The Consecration of Russia to the Blessed Virgin has not been carried out in the way Our Lady called for, and the proof is that the promised conversion has not happened.

This is clear now. Thank you!

We disagree regarding consecration of Russia. Russia is no longer communist nor is it exporting communist ideas. The governments in the clutches of the enemy are the Western countries and those countries that remain communist. Those saying the The Consecration of Russia to the Blessed Virgin has not been carried out in the way Our Lady called for, and the proof is that the promised conversion has not happened. arrogate to themselves as being the ineterpreters of Our Lady’s message and speaking for her when the message of Our Lady was sent to and through lawful Church authorities, who have issued the timeline I have presented. And doesn’t it puzzle that Our Lady remains silent when her urgent message has supposedly not been carried out?

  • The promised conversion has not happened. The Sacred Heart of Jesus was not publicly remonstrating with the Kings of France for having his messages ignored. I would not expect the Silent Woman to be any louder.

  • Silent? Not after she has said this:

I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays.

  • And She did that on June 13, 1929. My point was that Her present silence, which you first mentioned, resembles the silence of Jesus when His request was disregarded. And that the Holy Father would resemble the King of France in delaying was itself prophesied by the Blessed Virgin.

Russia’s conversion was promised. Regardless of Russia’s current political situation, she is not a Catholic nation; she has not converted. The “conversion” will be to Catholicism, not to a non-communist system of government. At the time of the initial Fatima apparitions, Russia was an Orthodox, i.e. schismatic Christian nation. Heaven has chosen that historically Christian (and once very Catholic) nation, as a vessel of election, to return to Catholic unity under the Holy Father. But this has not yet been realized. Perhaps it will be done out of extremest necessity, as Western Europe is being overrun by Islam. (This is speculation, I admit.)

I agree that Western nations are worse off than Russia. All the rampant Russophobia from the neocons and other political elites is a very dangerous and childish form of jingoism.

  • Your interpretation of conversion = to Catholicism whilst even a secular and cursory view would see it as Russia to communism and back, and the latter makes sense or else the message of Our Lady to the children would not make any sense at all i.e. from your interpretation Russia all of a sudden spreading the errors of the Orthodox schism?!!!

  • You can favor the secular cursory view if you like. I’ll stick with the Catholic view of what conversion means.

  • Ojcze Nasz

…….from your interpretation Russia all of a sudden spreading the errors of the Orthodox schism?!!!
Denying about Russia’s errors, that are spreading till today like a wild fires (go on Polish blogs), is like denying that the holy Church is not infiltrated from within, by every stripe of enemy known by name to God (Thanks Be To God!), and foolishly pretending that Catholicism has never been more glorious (JPII generation), giving Glory to God alone, in fearless faith protecting and defending His Truth (without human respect, false ecumenism, liberalism, modernism, universal salvation)…..only a fool will believe that.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us, for this is truly a diabolical disorientation!

    The blind
do not see, the deaf do not hear, the lame do not walk….

    St. John
    the Baptist, ora pro nobis!

  • Now stop twisting. I have provided the official Catholic account [and added even a secular and cursory view …] which you discount and replace with your own ineterpretation.

  • I can see you are the type to accuse without first familiarizing yourselves with someone’s position thus exposing yourselves as the ones who cling to versions and sound bites that go around certain circles without subjecting them to rigorous tests.

From my blog: The Illuminati, the Pope, and the Secret Societies – http://wp.me/p2Na5H-bT

  • Sorry to disappoint you, but I did not “twist.” Rather, I insist that when the Mother of God spoke of Russia’s “conversion,” She meant conversion to the true Church of Her Son, which is what ultimately matters, not conversion from one man-made political creed to another, and not the conversion back to schism from atheism.

The official archivist of Fatima, Fr. Joaquin Alonso, said this about the subject:

“… we should affirm that Lucia always thought that the ‘conversion’ of Russia is not to be limited to the return of the Russian People to the Orthodox Christian religions, rejecting the Marxist atheism of the Soviets, but rather, it refers purely, plainly and simply to the total, integral conversion of Russia to the one true Church of Christ, the Catholic Church.”

La Verdad Sobre el Sacradoto de Fatima, Fatima sin mitos, Father Joaquin Alonso, (2nd edition, Ejercito Azul, Madrid, 1988) p. 78. English translation by Joseph Cain.

Father Alonso had interviewed Sister Lucy many times. I am agreeing with him, and not with you.

  • We disagree and you disagree with the official position of the Church.

  • So the “official position” of the Church is that Russia has converted? Prove it. If it is not, then please acknowledge that it is not.

And prove to me that I am in disagreement with the “official position” of the Church on any matter connected with the consecration, please. Give sources.

And then you can show me definitively how it is that Catholics are morally obligated to assent to this “official position” on the consecration, as if it has binding magisterial force.

I’ve quoted a noted Fatima authority to you on what the conversion of Russia meant to Sister Lucy and you ignored it.

  • Ojcze Nasz

    Dear Brother Andre Marie,
Thank you for defending God’s Rights.
Orestes Brownson (a convert from Protestantism) sets before us the only admissible
criterion of a nation’s greatness. “The saints are the only true nobility. No
man is great but as he is good, but as he lives in order of grace, and loves God
above all things and with his whole heart and soul, and his neighbor as himself
for the sake of God…As of the individual, so of the nation. THE ONLY GREAT
NATION IS THE HOLY NATION, RICH IN TRUE OBEDIENCE, AND CARRIED AWAY BY A DIVINE
PASSION FOR GOD AND ALL HOLY THINGS.” (National Greatness).
Father Frederick Faber, said that ‘where there is no hatred of heresy there’s
no holiness.’ If I may add, ‘where there is no holiness, there’s no fear of
    God!’

  • I asked for proof, by which I did not mean your sending me a multitude of links, but giving some reasoned argumentation supported by citing authoritative sources.

    Could you do that?

  • Sister Lucia personally confirmed that this solemn and universal act of consecration corresponded to what Our Lady wished (“Sim, està feita, tal como Nossa Senhora a pediu, desde o dia 25 de Março de 1984”: “Yes it has been done just as Our Lady asked, on 25 March 1984”: Letter of 8 November 1989). Hence any further discussion or request is without basis. – http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20000626_message-fatima_en.htmlOfficial position of the Church

A question for you Brother André, since to you Russsia is yet to convert, what errors throughout the world, and how is he causing wars and persecutions of the Church?

  • If that document of the CDF were a binding magisterial teaching of the Church, Benedict XVI would not have contradicted it years later.

That document says “Insofar as individual events are described, they belong to the past.” And also: “No great mystery is revealed; nor is the future unveiled. We see the Church of the martyrs of the century which has just passed…”

But on Tuesday, 11 May 2010, Pope Benedict XVI said, “Consequently, I would say that, here too, beyond this great vision of the suffering of the Pope, which we can in the first place refer to Pope John Paul II, an indication is given of realities involving the future of the Church, which are gradually taking shape and becoming evident.” (source: https://w2.vatican.va/content/benedict-xvi/en/speeches/2010/may/documents/hf_ben-xvi_spe_20100511_portogallo-interview.html )

I know that the claims of that document contradict my own claims (and those of many others), but I deny that the claims of that document are of a binding magisterial character. If they were, I do not think that Pope Benedict XVI would have contradicted them, even in part.

Concerning your question on the “errors of Russia,” Russia has had many “errors,” not only one error. Atheistic Communism she spread rampantly over much of Europe, Asia, and parts of Latin America. These caused tremendous wars and persecutions of the Church. That prophesy was clearly fulfilled in the not-so-subtle spread of communism under the old Soviet Union. All this is sufficient to substantiate the Fatima prophesy.

But Russia’s errors do continue to spread. Soviet Communism generated numerous spinoffs that are still with us, like the “cultural Marxism” of Gramsci and the Frankfurt School, which have generated “political correctness,” feminist “criticism” (and a host of other “criticisms” in continuity with the “critical theory” of the Frankfurt School. These social viruses have infected the West.

Another interesting error of Russia, one that is part of her schismatic “Orthodox” adherence is now invading the Catholic Church. It is the error that Cardinal Kasper has advanced regarding the so-called “penitential path” for those divorced and “remarried” without the benefit of a declaration of sacramental nullity. Even Pope Francis, when he began discussions of this question, cited the Orthoxox praxis:

“But also – a parenthesis – the Orthodox have a different practice. They follow the theology of what they call oikonomia, and they give a second chance, they allow it. But I believe that this problem – and here I close the parenthesis – must be studied within the context of the pastoral care of marriage.” (Source: http://chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it/articolo/1350879?eng=y )

The Orthodox practice on remarriage, while not exactly what Cardinal Kasper represented it to be, is in error, and this was reaffirmed by Cardinal Muller:

“In many regions, greater compromises emerged later, particularly as a result of the increasing interdependence of Church and State. In the East this development continued to evolve, and especially after the separation from the See of Peter, it moved towards an increasingly liberal praxis. In the Orthodox Churches today, there are a great many grounds for divorce, which are mostly justified in terms of oikonomia, or pastoral leniency in difficult individual cases, and they open the path to a second or third marriage marked by a penitential character. This practice cannot be reconciled with God’s will, as expressed unambiguously in Jesus’ sayings about the indissolubility of marriage. But it represents an ecumenical problem that is not to be underestimated.” (Source: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/muller/rc_con_cfaith_20131023_divorziati-risposati-sacramenti_en.html )

Don’t forget that the so-called “Orthodox” are in error on a number of points, including the Immaculate Conception (one of the five sins against our Lady that the Five First Fridays were instituted to make reparation for), Purgatory, and the primacy, universal jurisdiction and infallibility of the Roman Pontiff. Many of these errors are currently backwashing into the Catholic Church via the Uniates who have an inferiority complex toward the Orthodox. Some of them call themselves “Orthodox in Communion with Rome,” and have adopted problematic theology (Cf. https://opuspublicum.com/2016/12/20/some-brief-words-on-the-orthodox-in-communion-with-rome-phenomenon/ )

The Russian Orthodox Church is by far the largest Orthodox communion.

And let’s not forget that the Blessed Virgin prophesied that Russia would convert and that there would be a consequent period of peace. Neither Russia’s conversion to Catholicism nor the promised peace have happened.

  • Confusions abounds.
