When we think our crosses are heavy, and they are, there are countless others who suffer far more and quietly. Then God takes them away to paradise. This young soccer player must have been quite a star in every sense. I cannot help but think of my nephew Christopher with his perpetual smile who died at the same age, suddenly, having been to a priest a few days before, and wearing his scapular. Chris loved soccer and did some boxing after high school as well.
