Beware of Sheep in Sheep’s Clothing

One has to read the following article to appreciate the title I have taken from the author and given to this column. Father George Rutler, who is suffering through the desecration of his previous church in Manhattan, has written a scathing critique of the gutless and heartless impostors in high places who, masquerading as sheep, have to contort their faces in pretentious grins as they go about their evil work promoting the horrific murder of pre-born babies, or in the case of President Obama and other fellow travelers, the murder of babies already born. Remember, when he was senator, Obama tried to legalize infanticide in the case of botched abortions.

Crisis Magazine: Christ cannot be psychoanalyzed because he is perfect.  It would be like seeking flaws in pure crystal or long shadows at high noon. That is why he may seem from our fallen state in a singularly ill-contrived world as both severe and merciful, ethereal and common, rebellious and routine, rustic and royal, solitary and brotherly, young and ageless.  His perfection is a stubborn enigma to the imperfect, but if there is to be one hint of the art that moves his mind, it will be in his pity.
