Dear Confused,

Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was born about AD 14 and was assumed into Heaven about AD 58. She was 72 years old when she died. She lived in Palestine (Nazareth).

From Heaven, she appeared to Saint Juan Diego in the sixteenth century, as she had appeared to many throughout the history of the Church.

I hope this helps.

Never mind, I found it. While some things about the Aztecs were true, the article could definitely do without the adjectives.

I can not believe how ridiculous this article is. the whole background story is full of hateful Christian bias. Can you not write an informational non-bias background of the situation as what i have read has turned me off to any part of this religion or anything this writer has said or will ever say in the future. if you intend to inform people and want them to believe and understand your religion, this is definatly not the way to go. I am appaled by the information in this article specificaly the background section.

Signed
 A very disappointed reader
