Buzz Aldrin May Be Going Lunar: Wants NASA to Put a Colony on Mars

“To boldly go where no man has gone before” Well, walking on the moon was a long time ago. Great achievement, to be sure. Nice job Buzz.  But, for what purpose? No one can live on the moon. Who is crazy enough to want to? And Mars, that’s even worse. Imagine wearing a ton of protective gear, hauling around an oxygen tank, not to mention food and water for who knows how long, and jumping around in a wasteland where gravity is far less pulling than Earth’s. Talk about not getting grounded! Did I say it’s cold on Mars? Yes, very cold. 63 degrees below zero on the average.  And what about the wife and children? How long will it take to get back home? Or is Mars for senior astronauts? LUNACY!!! Meanwhile here on Earth??

NBC News: Aldrin and Apollo 11 crewmate Neil Armstrong became the first humans on the moon on July 20, 1969. “In my opinion there is no more convincing way to demonstrate American leadership for the remainder of this century than to use 20 July 2019 to commit to and execute a permanent presence on Mars,” he testified.
