Thanks to L’Osservatore Romano’s unethical leak, with no explanation, of a comment about condoms from the pope’s interview with the author of the new book Light of the World, defenders of the Holy Father are forced to busy themselves in correcting false sensationalist headlines in the secular media that distorted the meaning of Pope Benedict’s words and his commitment to the Church’s consistent teaching on the grave immorality of artificial contraception and, ergo, condom use.
