Catholic Writer Likens Media Frenzy Over Clergy Abuse to Revolutionary France

Not to dismiss the gravity and more serious depravity of a Catholic religious committing these sins of sexual abuse, and those who covered the crimes up, but Elizabeth Lev does do a good factual job in putting this whole scandal in a proper perspective.

CNA reports: A prominent Catholic writer says “selective” and “salacious” reporting of Catholic clergy in the aftermath of clerical sexual abuse scandals is being used to discredit a “powerful moral voice” in public debate.
