Climate Change Secretary Begins UN Conference With Invocation to Pagan Goddess

And she (naturally, you didn’t expect a man did you?) went on and on about Itchel and her inspiration to “reason and creativity.” Now, imagine that a Catholic delegate in the UN — I did say “imagine” — invoked the Triune God or one of the patron saints of good health to inspire conference attendees in working for a cleaner earth. Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, was perfectly serious, even though it may be assumed that her audience was trying not to laugh, unless, of course, there were some wiccans at the Conference nodding Amens. Yet, we know that if the true God or His saints were invoked on such an occasion there would have been an uproar from the godless organization even from the floor, with hooting, walkouts, and, for sure, protests galore. That would have been the end of the Catholic secretary’s career.
