Communion and Liberation?

Well, a half hour is too much. After a half hour of research if you can’t get a grip on a “movement” that has “communities” in eighty countries then I’d say one should stop trying. I have no clue, after my half hour curiosity venture, what “Communion and Liberation” is about. Reading their website is like dining at a jello-fest. Nothing to chew on. The fare is shaky on the spoon. But everyone involved in the gelatinous jamboree is happy. Very happy! Why? “We have communion with one another.” “We have faith;” faith, not The Faith, it seems to me after my half hour trying to figure out what this “movement” is. I’d be wary of these folks. At least I know whom I am dealing with when I graciously smile at the greeters at Walmart. Viva “beauty and happiness”! Have a nice day! And pass the potatoes.

“I decided with my husband and my children to come here to the Communion and Liberation annual meeting in Rimini to celebrate my 25th anniversary because we want to live this experience of beauty and happiness which we have been through all of our life,” Mrs. Daniela Burgio shared with CNA Aug. 25.
