Defender of the Faith C.J.Doyle Maligned by Catholic News Agency

CNA: “[A] source close to the situation told CNA that the Knights were ambushed by a campaign that smeared their motives and created confusion.

“C.J. Doyle, executive director of Boston’s Catholic Action League,’ alleged that the Knights were acting ‘treacherously’ and that their actions were actually ‘helping (the activist group) spread their message.'” One “source” told CNA that Mr. Doyle “created a scandal.”

Hold on CNA! I was one of those who emailed Mr. Anderson the head of the national  KOC. My email was very respectful. I did not think that the KOC should march in the Saint Patrick’s Day parade. This year would have been their first time doing so in decades and, as the local Boston KOC knew, the parade had already disgraced itself by providing a place for OUTVETS and Boston Pride to flaunt their perverse lifestyle. This is the crime, not anything CJ Doyle and the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts did. Mr. Doyle had every right to protest and to call others to protest. I have read the League’s Press Release and there is nothing in it that any member of the Church Militant should have a problem with, rather one ought to support it. We did. We posted it on the homepage of our website here.

Boston’s pro-abortion  Irish “Catholic” mayor ought to be held accountable for his bold insult to Saint Patrick.  Mr. Doyle as a resident of Boston has every right to criticize his mayor.  If promoting a homosexual group’s blatant intrusion into a parade honoring a saint is not an insult to Saint Patrick and, moreso, to Our Lord and Savior  Jesus Christ, I do not know what is. A pro-life banner in a high-jacked parade is the best the KOC of Massachusetts can do? Shameful. And who are these “sources” your website cites? “A Catholic official in New England”? Who might that be?  And who is the signer of the Statement for the Massachusetts KOC? And who is this “source close to the situation”? And who is this “one source” that accuses “many” objectors of making “profanity-laced phone calls and social media posts”? “Many”? How many? One, two? Does CNA honestly expect outraged Catholics to be perfectly polite in voicing their disgust for this kind of compromise? In any event, I do not think Mr. Doyle has much control over the language every reader of his Press Releases uses, some of whom may even be truck drivers or dock workers, or flunkies from Anger Management Class. Sources close to the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts tell me that Mr. Doyle received a lot of support from priests, lawyers, physicians, journalists, and even a politician or two.

“‘The lack of charity by these people who called themselves Catholics was stunning,’ someone who knew several of the Knights receiving the calls told CNA.”  Yes, just “stunning.” I am sure they were totally scandalized. Strange what scandalizes the ears of Catholics that have forfeited righteous indignation.

It would be great to see Mr. Anderson do something as a true Knight and dismiss the Virginia KFC council #3548 that hosted a pro-abortion “Catholic” governor, Terence McAuliffe,  as grand marshall in their Saint Patrick’s Day parade. But, if he did that, he’d have to dismiss all pro-abort faux Catholic “KOC” politicians. Miracles happen. Is Mr. Anderson up to it?
