Good Thing We Put a Question Mark After That TAC Conversion News

Of course everyone knows there were going to be “problems.” Married “bishops” would only be ordained as priests, and so forth; and they would have to serve their own converted Anglican parishes.  But Msgr. Marc Langham, an official at the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, is arguing that mass conversions cannot take place.  I am confused. Would not each convert have to go to confession privately and renounce any and all heresy?  If not, then this official would have a point.  He also is concerned about the TAC’s status being a “problem.”  What is the problem? Isn’t their current separation from the larger Anglican community a good first step? Especially given the reasons for that separation?  Msgr. Langham seems more concerned about offending Rowan Williams than about the souls of so many converts who are knocking at the door of the Mystical Body of Christ.
