Holy See Conducts ‘Doctrinal Investigation’ of US Sisters’ Group

From Catholic World News: Vatican conducting ‘doctrinal investigation’ of US nuns’ leadership group.

Note the salient paragraph:

The National Catholic Reporter, which made public the plans for the Vatican inquiry, indicates that the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) has expressed concerns for several years about the LCWR’s attitudes toward Church teachings on issues such as homosexuality, the necessity of Christ’s Church for salvation, and the impossibility of ordaining women. [emphasis very much mine]

I’ve heard there are sisters who do believe in the necessity of Christ’s Church for salvation (and they even get vocations), but, then again, they’re not part of the “Leadership Conference of Women Religious.”
