For a Patriot fan, like myself, it was good to see that Miami lost yesterday; and for a Catholic editor, like myself, it was good to see that the Baltimore Ravens, who won a wild card playoff berth, was the team that defeated them.
The reason I feel this way is because I just read an article about John Harbaugh, the Raven’s new coach. Here is a man who takes his Catholic Faith very seriously.
“I used to pray for other reasons, and every now and then, I’d pray for a turnover,” he told an interviewer, “but more than anything else, I want God to stay close to me so I don’t get caught up in myself and basically embarrass myself. That’s selfish behavior.” Full story here
