Thank you Brandon Vogt. I decided to post this as a column without comment. It is that beautiful. God love our priests and may they “persevere.”
The very last words Fr. Ed spoke to me were these: “I absolve you of all of your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” And then he paused, looked me in the eyes, and said, “Brandon, God love you—I love you.” We embraced, we said goodbye, and that was it. There are tears here.
