Missionary Hero Returns to Philippines at Eighty

There are great men of God who refuse to die in a foreign environment. The foreign environment for this Irish missionary is his native land. After suffering for over a month as an abducted prisoner of Moslem rebels, a brief time of recuperation in Ireland after being freed made him anxious for his people. He wants to spend his last years doing what Christ called him to do as a missioner.

Catholic Culture reports: Father Michael Sinnott, the 80-year-old Irish missionary priest who was held captive for 32 days last year, has returned to the Philippines to continue his missionary work following a time of recuperation in Ireland. Read more here.
