The Servant of God, Father Nelson Baker (1842-1936), was declared Venerable on January 14. During a private audience with Cardinal Angelo Amato S.D.B., prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, the Holy Father authorized the congregation to promulgate the decree of Father Baker’s heroic virtue. Other decrees were also promulgated that day.
