RIP Nutella Chocolate Founder Devotee of Our Lady of Lourdes

Aleteia: This Saturday afternoon in Monte Carlo, after a months-long illness, Michele Ferrero, 89, founder of Nutella died. His company, founded in 1946 in Italy, produced the popular hazelnut chocolate spread along with Mon Cheri, Kinder eggs, Ferrero Rocher, Fiesta, and Pocket Coffee treats.
As Michele Ferrero said at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the company: ” The success of Ferrero we owe to Our Lady of Lourdes, without it we can do little.” And indeed, a small statue of the Virgin is present in each of the Ferrero establishments worldwide.
