NY Times on the SSPX

The New York Times and its liberal progressivist sources have let it out. Wouldn’t you know it… they aren’t pleased that the Holy See has lifted the excommunications of the four traditionalist bishops of the SSPX.

We were all dying to know.

The leftist elite always show their contempt, don’t they? Icky disgusting low-down people — those not, to quote the Times interviewee, Hans Küng, “on the progressive side” — aren’t worthy of being “dialogue partners.” They are worthy of only perpetual scorn, derision, opprobrium, and excommunication — the last of which categories means far more to SSPX members than it does to the liberals and unbelievers who would prefer it remained upon them.

But isn’t it only mean, medieval-type Catholics that want people to stay excommunicated?

If the Times is a compass of anything — and it is — the Holy Father is doing a good job.
