Olympic Speed Skater Put Away Skates To Don the Franciscan Habit

Kirstin Holum’s decision to enter religious life was cemented at the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. Kirstin reminds me of another Olympic athlete who wore skis not skates. She is Rebecca Dussault, cross country skier, whose career peaked at the 2006 Olympics. Rebecca is very devoted to Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati of Turin. She is married, a native of Colorado, and once said that her main ambition in life is “to become a saint.” She has a website www.dussaultskis.com. Rebecca is a member and speaker for Catholic Athletes for Christ.
