It’s a sick world and ours is a sick country. The very fact that state plebecites are now necessary to defend marriage is the latest symptom of moral corruption. Activists who hate the natural law are turning their hatred upon those who abide by it. Not content with their self-imposed enslavement to unnatural lust, not content that there are no civil laws prohibiting them or anyone else from wallowing in filth, not content that society in general has accepted their lifestyle and educated its children to do the same, not content with the monetary benefits they’ve won by the legalization of their “civil unions,” they now want to do violence against those who refuse to allow them to mutilate the word “marriage.” The homosexual activists are in a rage in California. They have been spewing their venom all over the blogosphere, threatening to burn and even to murder. It would be the same in Massachusetts and Connecticut if a referendum passed denying them their unjust “license.” No one likes to be corrected for their transgressions, especially when it comes to lust, but the correction, if done with charity, is a life saver, both here and, most importantly, hereafter. Those who cling to unnatural vice, however, are burdened with a suppressed shame that amounts to self-loathing. That is why they lash out at anyone, or any institution, that should expose their dis-ease, that they might be healed.
