President of Peru Consecrates Family and Country to Sacred and Immaculate Hearts

From the city of saints, Lima, Peru. The new president, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, was sworn into office this past July. His father was a medical doctor, worked in Poland before moving to Lima. Pedro learned much from his example as he took care of the poor and the lepers. President Kuczynski’s Party of Reform has not many seats in Peru’s parliament, the vast majority being held by the opposition party. Even in his own party members do not all agree with the new president’s announced policies. Nevertheless, he has publicly asked God’s forgiveness for his own past misdeeds and those of his nation. Could we have a Garcia Moreno in the making? Let us hope so. Let us pray for this courageous man. Let us pray that the saints from Lima will inspire and protect him. They are five: Saints Rose, Martin de Porres, Turibius. Francis Solano, and John Massias.
