Roberto de Mattei on Liberal Westerners Not Getting the Paris Massacres

Professor de Mattei condemns the foolish maneuvers of liberal Western powers (the U.S., France, etc.) in causing the Paris massacres of 13 November, 2015. Included in the historian’s denunciation are both the domestic idiocy of liberalism (embodied in the diabolical trinity of liberté, egalité, fraternité) and the foreign policy idiocy of supporting jihadists in a “democratic revolution” against Arab/Muslim leaders the West does not like.

The liberal mind either does not understand the actual dynamics of the situation, or —what the Professor does not say — deliberately manipulates them to achieve its globalist purposes. My hypothesis is that a certain number of liberal elites are genuinely naive and believe, as one who adheres to a false religion, that their policies will work; but a much smaller number of ruthless oligarchs, monied interests, and cryptocrats know well that the policies will fail, giving their globalist and corporate agendas a great advantage.

Lest I be accused of swallowing up facile conspiracy theories, I state clearly that the ultimate conspirator is Satan and that the most sophisticated of this world’s shadowy overlords — whoever they be — are but his useless idiots.

I quote only one sentence of Professor de Mattei — speaking of the naive liberals — as it is worth considering deeply:

The plan to insert Islam into Republican values can only come forth from the mind of those who refuse to understand the historical role of the religious dimension and reduce everything to economic conflicts or politics.

Those who do understand the historical role of the religious dimension will appreciate Cardinal Manning’s words to a young Hilaire Belloc, which the latter both pondered and repeated: “All human conflict is ultimately theological.” (I thank Robert Hickson for repeating these words to me over and over.)

The column, “A false battle against Islam” is worth reading in its entirety.
