Saint Alice (Adelaide) (999)

She was the daughter of a king of Burgundy.  She married the King of Italy.  On his death, she married the Roman Emperor, Otto the Great.  Left a widow, she became the ruler of the Empire.  Before her death she dedicated herself to God in a convent as a nun.  Saint Alice was a princess, a queen, an empress and a nun.  She was sixty-nine years old when she died.
