The first was in the Republic of Congo. Father Daniel Cizimya Nakamaga was killed by armed robbers on December 6. Then a nun, Sister Denise Kahambu, was killed as thugs raided a Trappist monastery nearby on December 8. CNA report is here. The next night, in Kenya, an Irish priest, Father Jeremiah Roche, who had served for forty-one years in that country, was slain in another robbery with a machete in his rectory.
