these meetings you cite DO NOT JUSTIFY YOUR DISOBEDIENCE....the terms SCHISM, HERESY and APOSTASY are still in force for you to REPENT. it`s that simple: IF CHRIST DID NOT COMMISSION YOU THROUGH APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION then stop being a festering wound to HIS BODY and stop abusing the meeting you cite above because YOUR SOUL ON THE ROAD TO RUIN FOR BETRAYING CHRIST THROUGH YOUR DISOBEDIENCE

John,
Please stop trying to justify your disobedience to God manifested in rejecting His Church and therefore rejecting Him who built His one Church, which is His Body, His one Bride.

My blood bought Brother David,

You write as a person discouraged, and most people in the world, myself included, don't understand why.
It's time to sing a new song as Psalm 96 and 98 declare.
It's time to rejoice. The pope meets in Rome with the ArchBishop of Canterbury as brothers. Cardinal Kasper meets with Greek Christian brothers in Cyprus. http://youtu.be/RqQGY06s9-s
Isn't this reason to rejoice today?
Aren't you a Catholic who follows the teachings of Pope Benedict?

Peace to you always, John

Is the Maronite rite, as it's celebrated today, generally solemn, or has it been sadly abused as the Roman one has in so many churches? It probably depends on the priest, but I wonder if you're aware of a general laxity in that rite. I wouldn't notice if the priests were abusing the liturgy in the Maronite rite, since I only speak English.

There's a new movie about the Vendees, you might be interested in, if you don't already know about it. http://www.navispictures.com/category_s/34.htm I suppose you already know about the film 'Cristiada'.

I hope your dream of helping make a movie about the Resurrection comes true! What a great idea. I've often wondered what that mystery looked like. There will never be too many good Catholic films!

God bless you!

As an Italian and Lebanese person I have a most unique perspective on Roman and Maronite Catholicism.
Roman is Latin, Priest Celibate, and observe Ash Wednesday. Maronite is Aramaic, Priest can Marry, and observe Ash Monday.
My favorite movie is the Passion of Christ which Mel Gibson portrayed in Latin and Aramaic. Thank you Mel Gibson for this incredible movie. I want to help make the next movie called the Resurrection as an Accountant or Historian.
I would love to visit Beirut and Jerusalem for ancestral and religious reasons during the Easter season or Advent season. Lebanon is the only Democratic state in the entire Mid-East. President is a Maronite Catholic. Patriarch of the Maronite Rite is a Cardinal who elects the Pope.
Psalm 92:15 Righteous will flourish like the Cedar of Lebanon.
I have visited the Vatican and checked out the Sistine Chapel. I also was in awe of the catacombs who professed the faith before Constantine converted to the faith. They believed in the faith under pressure from the Roman Government.

The unlikely Pastor John keeps coming here for a reason. He must in some way be drawn to learn more about the Faith. I will certainly offer up a decade of the Rosary for him...
