‘The Wanderer’ Supports the Cardinals in Their Request for Answers Regarding Errors in Amoris Laetitia

Good article here by Joseph Matt of The Wanderer weekly Catholic paper. It is good to see unity among traditional-minded Catholics who have the honest lucidity of mind to call a spade a spade. Would that this were so regarding the dissolution of the defined dogma of Faith, Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus!  When a foundational dogma of Faith is undermined by mitred (or not mitred) advocates of salvation through sincerity, “good faith,” invincible ignorance, or baptism of desire, how can right morals and sacramental discipline be maintained? I have always appreciated the fairness of The Wanderer. Many years ago when the paper carried an article by Fathers Most and Dietzen attacking Father Feeney and his defense of the Church’s salvation dogma, Mr. Matt carried the response of Saint Benedict Center in full. This took up one full page of the weekly. That rebuttal was titled: “Two Apostles of Sentimental Theology” (Res Fidei supplement to From the Housetops) Unfortunately, as far as I know, The Wanderer does not have an indexed archive so I cannot provide a link to that original artlcle.

The Wanderer, Joseph Matt: It seems another prelate has abandoned his post. In an interview on January 8, Gerhard Cardinal Mueller, prefect for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, rejected making any correction of Pope Francis’ Amoris Laetitia, effectively joining some of his fellow German cardinals in a slight to Cardinal Burke and his three colleagues.
