Great article on hell. For me, reading Fr. Amorth's book "An Exorcist Tells His Story, and Malachai Martin's "Hostage To the Devil" just solidifies what you are saying, but in different ways. I firmly believe, and without a shadow of a doubt, that hell and the demonic exist whether our current culural paradigm has room for them or not.

I heard a sermon on Audio Sancto called "The Good Shepherd" where the priest said that most people actually follow the moral code of the Church of Satan, which is something like "Do what thou wilt, that is the whole of the law." Just look around and see the alienation( as you talked about), the despair, the immorality and the violence that seems to grow day by day based on this way of life. What you say about modern art speaks volumes. Our actions in this life and the results we get are preludes to hell or heaven in the next.

Now I see just why some people preach on the social reign of Christ the King as the only way to go in terms of governing society. If Catholicism is true, and if all of us have nothing but moments to cast our lot for heaven or hell, than we need Christ and the Church to help us, a fallen race, to get to heaven, period.

At any rate, this is a great and well written article. Sadly, many will either not read it or not take it seriously.

Thank you for a wonderful article. I know there is a hell and I am trying my hardest to stay away from the things that can lead me there. I believe God does not send us to hell, rather, we choose to go there and I, myself, have no desire to do that. Thanks again.

This is a great article that sums up the catholic beliefs on hell. It is error free and backed up by the bible, unlike the other theories that people make that are just confusing more and more people, such as hell simply being a void, which is clearly false and contradictory.

Brother Andre of your many great articles over the years this one ranks as one of the best. It clears up more than a few of the many errors circulating these days.

Whenever I need a good prod to do more for God rather than rest on my laurels, I read a good sermon or tract on Hell or the Fewness of the Saved.

It is a great motivator.

Furniss's work on the subject is splendid.

What can I possibly say? Since you are Roman Catholic you are forced to define hell by Roman Catholic beliefs about hell and many other things. If you were a free thinker you would no longer be a Roman Catholic.

Just think, when you are in heaven, maybe you can look down (through some sort of window) and have a big laugh at all of us non-Catholics and others writhing in the flames of eternal torment. This was what one of your saints actually said and believed, and I do wish I could remember who he was. Nevertheless, it certainly defined what you really believe.
