This item is from a CNA post on October 14. The soldier died on the feast of the Holy Rosary, October 7. It may not seem very momentous with all the events going on in the Church and the world, but from the point of view of eternity this is most wonderful.
CNA: Corporal Cristo Ancor Cabello Santana, the latest Spanish soldier to die in Afghanistan, fulfilled his wish to be baptized before dying. Cabello had asked the chaplain at the Herat Base to baptize him and was planning on receiving the sacrament last weekend before being wounded in a Taliban attack.
