110 Young Men Studying for Priesthood in Conception Seminary College

I saw this news over  a week ago and neglected to look into it.  But it’s true.  Apparently, today, this large number of seminarians, in the United States, is peculiar to the Kansas City diocese.  There are increases in vocations all over the U.S. compared to the recent decades past, but nothing like here in the heart of the country. Judging from the picture that goes with the linked article, those in the photo look like an impressive crew. Let’s pray that they are interiorly so.

The Catholic Key reports: Abbot Gregory Polan of Conception Abbey led nearly 700 voices in a round of “Holy God We Praise Thy Name” at the Downtown Marriot January 30. “We bless and we thank you Lord for countless blessings,” Abbot Polan prayed as he opened the annual S.O.S. – “Support Our Seminarians” dinner and auction in support of men studying for the priesthood from both sides of State Line Road and for Conception Seminary College.  Full article here.
