Catholicism•org Comments Policy

Catholicism.org exists to spread the Catholic faith to the entire Anglosphere. The intention of the publishers and contributors is to share the truth, beauty, and goodness of the Catholic Church with all our readers. We also post news and opinion pieces on current events.

Commenters are asked to keep the following in mind:

  1. Catholics should be kind and charitable to others, including non-Catholics, who question or object to our religion. While we must never compromise on truth, bitter zeal must be avoided (Cf. James 3:14). This does not exclude lively arguments.
  2. Non-Catholics who object to our beliefs are welcome to comment, question, challenge, etc. All blasphemy against the Trinity, Christ, the Blessed Virgin, the angels, and saints is subject to removal.
  3. Vulgarity is not allowed, and will most likely be caught in the automatic comment moderation we have set up in Disqus.
  4. Direct attacks against Catholicism.org’s contributors, founders of Saint Benedict Center, our religious, or our apostolate are subject to removal. The same goes for ad hominem attacks against the Holy Father and our Bishop.
