Mass Times for Christmas, 2017, at Saint Benedict Center

There will be three Masses for Christmas:

  • The Midnight Mass — This will be a Missa Cantata, and yes, it will begin at twelve midnight, the earliest this Mass may begin in the traditional rite. (This first of the Christmas Masses is called the “Angels’ Mass” because of the Gospel reading.)
  • A low Mass at 8:30 a.m. — This will be the “Mass at Dawn” (called also the “Shepherds’ Mass”).
  • Another Missa Cantata at 10:30 a.m. — This will be the “Mass on Christmas day” (called the “Mass of the Divine Word” or “Kings’ Mass”).

Venite, adoremus!
