New Mass Schedule, Epiphany Mass, Postulant to Receive Habit

The Mass schedule at Saint Benedict Center is now as follows:

  • Sundays: 8:30 a.m. low Mass, 10:30 a.m. Missa Cantata.
  • Weekdays: 7:30 a.m. low Mass
  • Holy Days of obligation: for days like January 1 and others that are generally a civil holiday as well, we will follow the Sunday schedule, above. For Holy Days that secular society does not regard as a holiday, we will have 7:30 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Masses. (It’s best to contact us regarding holy days.)

This Saturday, the Feast of the Epiphany, will be an auspicious occasion. Our postulant brother, Brother Paul Mary, will receive the habit and enter into the novitiate. The Mass will be a Missa Cantata, the ordinary being sung by our religious from Palestrina’s Missa Aeterna Christi Munera, with variety of polyphonic hymns as well as the requisite Gregorian propers.

It is also a First Saturday, so we will have our customary Eucharistic Adoration.

And, oh yes, it is the Feast of Saint André Bessette, too!
