Saint Oliver Plunket was born in Ireland in 1629. He was one of the successors of Saint Patrick as Archbishop of Armagh. He did everything possible to keep his people free from the horrors of heresy. He was taken to London and after a mock trial was hanged, drawn and quartered. With the words “I desire to be dissolved and to be with Christ” on his lips, he shed his blood for the one true Faith.
