Press Release: SPLC, with Local Enemies, Attacks Center Again
The following statement was released by Saint Benedict Center on April 23, 2007, the Feast of St. George. There is now afoot a concerted effort to destroy our traditional Catholic apostolate. Local detractors are teaming up with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which has already smeared us.

“The anti-Catholic, anti-Christian-social-order forces are very active,” said Brother André Marie, Prior of Saint Benedict Center. “Virulently standing up for Catholic doctrine and the Rule of Christ the King are becoming hate crimes now and Catholic men should not stand for that one bit,” he added.
Press Release: New Web Site for Saint Benedict Center Conference
» Note: Skip to update (added 3/16/2007). On March 1, 2007, the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary launched a new web site. The site, at http://www.sbcconference.com/, promotes their annual Saint Benedict Center Conference, which is part of the Order’s missionary and educational apostolate.
Press Release: Southern Poverty Law Center Attacks Traditionalists
The Southern Poverty Law Center, Morris Dees’ fund raising powerhouse, has recently published a series of scurrilous articles against Catholic traditionalists. In a statement released Friday, February 2, Brother André Marie, Prior of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Richmond, New Hampshire, said that the unfounded attacks are typical of the SPLC.
New Book on SBC History: Harvard to Harvard
For over fifteen years, Abbot Gabriel, Abbot of Saint Benedict Abbey in Still River, along with Owen Murphy, former Editor of the Worcester Free Press, have been compiling the facts about the student center in Harvard Square and its spiritual guide, Fr.
