I have to admit I am a bit conflicted when I hear about events like this. On one hand I’m happy these occurrences demonstrate that God is still with his Church even after Paul VI forced the novus ordo on the faithful, on the other hand I can’t help but wonder if maybe heaven isn’t inviting us to question why did this Host fall on the floor and what can be done to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

So that the miracle isn’t so much a pronouncement of God’s faithfulness to His Church, but rather an indictment of what our current habit of communion in the hand is doing to the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
