Saint Boniface (307)

Saint Boniface went from Rome, where Saint Paul was beheaded, to Tarsus in Cilicia, where Saint Paul was born. He went there to recover the relics of some precious Catholic martyrs. He was seized by pagans, condemned as a Catholic, and beheaded. His relics were brought back to Rome and are still kept on the Aventine Hill, together with the relics of a courageous Catholic woman whose name is Saint Aglae. There are seven great hills in Rome: the Quirinal, the Viminal, the Esquiline, the Palatine, the Capitoline, the Caelian, and the Aventine. Every one of these hills has some beautiful connection with the Catholic Faith by way of saints who were martyred on them, or churches that were built on them.
