Catholic Colleges and Universities Must Never Participate in ‘Pride Month’

The following is a Catholic Action League of Massachusetts press statement…

On June 1st, Reporter Brendan McDonald of The College Fix contacted the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts, seeking a comment on the increasing number of Catholic, particularly Jesuit, colleges and universities in America which recognise and participate, in some manner, in so-called ‘Pride Month’ celebrations.

In response, League Executive Director C. J. Doyle, issued, on June 2nd, the following statement:

Catholic colleges and universities should never, under any circumstances, participate in the Luciferian celebration known as ‘Pride Month.’

Catholic institutions should ban any such celebrations initiated by students or faculty, and must refuse to recognize and fund, and must deny access to university facilities to any student organization which repudiates Divine and natural law.

As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, ‘Sacred Scripture presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity.’

In Catholic Tradition, the sin of impurity against nature (the sin of Sodom) is, after the wilful murder of the innocent, one of the sins which ‘crieth to heaven for vengeance.’

They are also referred to as Sins Which Tend To The Destruction of The Human Race.

Affirming people in mortal sin is demonically evil. It is the depth of uncharitableness. It represents a spiritual abandonment of souls.

It makes those rendering such affirmations complicit in the sins of others.

Like the rest of us poor sinners, practitioners of sodomy are called to repentance, interior conversion and the personal pursuit of holiness.

Our Savior founded His Church to convert the world, not to submit and conform to the dominant secular culture.

As the Code of Canon Law informs us, the highest law of the church is the salvation of souls.

Standing in contrast to the corruption and immorality of secular society, the Church should never fail to remind us that June is the Month of the Sacred Heart, and should foster devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at every opportunity.

One such devotion is the spiritually edifying Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Another is the Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Saint Margaret Mary Alocoque.

Catholics must stop being naive, and must stop being obsequiously deferential to the culture of clericalism.

If a Catholic institution is embracing homosexual ideology, it is likely because the clerics or religious controlling that institution are themselves effeminates.

They should be called out, they should be questioned about whether they have a personal conflict of interest when it comes to defending Catholic morality, and they should be pressured to resign if they are unwilling to uphold Church teaching.

We lost a third of Europe to heresy in the 16th century because of clerical immorality, most of which was in the natural order.

How much worse will it be today, when the that immorality is contra naturam, and frequently involves the predation of minors?”

C. J. Doyle is a graduate of Jesuit administered Boston College.

A portion of Doyle’s remarks were published in story which appeared today, Tuesday, June 23rd, in The College Fix.
