Uruguayan Bishops Say Pro-Abortion Catholic Lawmakers ‘Not Excommunicated’

One wonders which sin is worse: to have an abortion, or to vote in favor of a law that permits mothers to abort their babies?  What matters more for the lawmakers, since “excommunication” is a penalty that can be unjustly applied, is that by voting for abortion they are committing a grievous sin and will be damned if they do not repent before death.
