Why Does New Advent Post Nonsense Like This From Newsweek?

475 Million Years Old fossil.  Yes, that’s right. a 475 million years old “trilobite.” What’s a trilobite you ask? It’s a “bug-like critter” says the report. Now you know. And, amazing as it may seem, this critter was around for 270 million years before being wiped out 252 million years ago in some kind of “mass extinction event.” That’s 252 million years ago. Not 250, but 252! After all, science has to be precise. What’s a million years give or take here and there. I mean, when you want to push evolution and other science fiction just tag on a million years here and there and your big lie becomes credible.

Newsweek, Katherine Hignett: Eleven-year-old Ryleigh Taylor was wandering along the shore of Douglas Lake in eastern Tennessee when she spotted something strange peeking out from the ground. Unusual markings on a rock turned out to be the ancient fossil of an extinct marine arthropod. More here.
