The episode of the Corbett Report podcast below is illuminating. Directly, via official government appointment, or indirectly, via government-private-sector cooperation, the following technologists are part of or tied to the current Trump administration: Marc Andreessen, Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Ben Horowitz, Larry Ellison, Sam Altman, Masayoshi Son, Thomas Shedd, Howard Lutnick, and Alex Karp.
Many of these are dark characters with strange beliefs and aspirations. At least two are homosexuals (Thiel, Altman); some on record speaking of the near approach of “singularity” (Musk); others extol the virtues of government surveillance programs (the CIA-deep-stater, Ellison) or using such technologies to assist a tyrannical regime literally to target and kill people (Thiel). All of them are rich and powerful, with a vested interest in mining the kind of data that AI, coupled with surveillance technology, will give them access to.
This is not freedom, it is slavery.
