Animal ‘Rights’ Advocates Upset Man Bit Snake to Death

Pardon this diversion from weightier things, but I thought our readers would appreciate this latest piece of news from India. I don’t know which is more comical, a man biting a snake, or this response from Pooja Bhale of the Protecterra Ecological Foundation, “Snakes are the most misunderstood creatures and often victims of a lack of information and awareness.”

Catholic Online: A man in central India killed the snake by biting it after he saw the reptile slithering towards him in bed.

Rai Singh, from Chhattisgarh, told TV reporters he feared the venomous blue krait was about to bite him — and decided on a “first strike” tactic and bite the creature. Read more here.
