Catholic-Educated New Orleans Activists Push Smoking Ban Almost Everywhere

No statement on record from either of these two power-happy “Nanny State” busybodies  on banning abortion in New Orleans. They want to protect the poor, innocent, helpless citizens from second-hand smoke (aren’t they wonderful), but do they want to protect each and every pre-born baby from being murdered? Correct me if I am wrong about either of them.

Amendments added to the ordinance slightly changed the final ban to not effect parks or outdoor shopping malls, according to the Times-Picayune. Fines will also begin at $50. A previous version of this story said fines began at $100.

New Orleans passed a far-reaching smoking ban on Thursday that prohibits lighting up in bars, casinos, private clubs—even in the car while waiting in line at a drive-thru. More here.
