Our Sisters Need Help for Their New Convent

Convent Building Project

Dear Friends,

Pax Christi. You may have heard that our Sisters were forced to leave their convent in July of 2024. They are not exactly homeless — but they are convent-less: deprived of the solitude so cherished in Religious life. It has been two years, years in which fundraising for a home has for a home has seriously curtailed many of our other duties.

Hutter Construction Company has begun construction, Deo gratias!

But they still have many thousands of dollars left to raise.

I am reaching out to you not to ask you for a donation (though, of course, you are welcome to give one!). Instead, can you think of maybe ten other people you know — family members, co-workers, fellow parishioners, etc. — whom you could tell about their situation? These contacts of yours would not even have to be Catholic. Several of our non-Catholic friends have said, “Sure, I’d be happy to,” when asked about giving a one-time, tax-deductible donation to help the Sisters. Your friends just might do the same. (This can be a powerful occasion of grace for a non-Catholic!)

Would you be willing to at least ask them?

The Sisters’ website, SaintPhilomenaConvent.org, gives an excellent overview of our situation. It provides an easy way to make donations with no hassle at all! Please won’t you help us by petitioning your friends and family on our behalf?

Thank you so much!

May God and Our Lady and St. Joseph bless you!
