Human Suffering in Gaza, the Numbers

Using media reports posted on 12/24/2023,1 I compiled some composite Palestinian casualty figures on the Gaza war.

While multiple sources have identified the number of women and children killed, I have seen no clear figures on the total civilian versus military casualties among Palestinians.

The Israelis, and the Israelis only, are claiming that 8,000 Palestinian fatalities are those of combatants.

2023 Population of Gaza Strip—2,375,000

As of December 24, 2023:
