On Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., a public debate will take place on the proposition: “Be it resolved that special creation — the fiat creation by God of all of the different kinds of creatures — is a much better explanation of all of the facts of Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, Magisterial teaching, and natural science than theistic evolution.” For the affirmative: Dr. Thomas Seiler and Hugh Owen; for the negative: Dr. John Yopp and Fr. Frank Brawner. The debate is open to the public and will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hehman Hall, Cathedral of Christ the King, in Lexington, Kentucky.
