(Gloria.TV News) A sermon delivered in 1900 by famous Greek-Catholic Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky (1865-1944), a candidate for sainthood, was added to Russia’s Federal List of Extremist Materials on 4 October, Forum 18 has reported. The sermon focuses on the Catholic faith and Church and insists that “Christ’s Church has to be a transnational institution”. Officials have refused to reveal the reasons for their decision. Possession of so called “extremist” texts renders the possessor liable to criminal prosecution.
