Saint Cunegunda (1040)

She was the virginal wife of Saint Henry II, Emperor of Germany, who dedicated her to God as soon as he married her. Saint Henry’s feast is on July 15. After Saint Henry’s death, Saint Cunegunda, the virgin, became a Benedictine nun. Her relics, and those of her saintly husband, are kept together in the Cathedral of Bamberg.
