Saint Hedwig (1243)

Saint Hedwig was the aunt of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary. She was a queen. She did much to foster convents for the consecration to Jesus and Mary of young Catholic girls. She herself became a nun in her widowhood. She was canonized twenty-three years after her death.
