Saint Ignatius of Antioch (107)

He was the third Bishop of Antioch and governed the Church there for forty years.  Because of the courage and clarity with which he declared the truths of the Catholic Faith and its necessity for salvation, he was taken to Rome and thrown to wild beasts in the amphitheater before 87,000 people.  The beast tore him to pieces.  He is one of the Fathers of the Church.
